Guru could be placed in small area such as in Harimandir sahib ji.
But we build space to do what!
Four years ago,I use to think highly of the design and space.Guru does not need all this but would be nice if we follow Guru's path of humanity.There is no structure to deal with the domestic issues and no mechanism to address such issues. Our Guru's were truly divine as they stood next to sufferer and Reciting Guru Granth Sahib brings in contentment within. Then why all this projection when we do not follow our Guru's principle.

Guru Granth Sahib helps you
Answer your prayers
open door for you when ...
all human doors are closed
You stand up straight with folded hands....
Ask for contentment
Guru gives you
Not what you ask for
But what is best for you
Pain! Deceitfulness! Anguish!
Unless you experience this,
You will not know the difference in God and humans.
